Publish to Store

Publish your plugin to the Motanamy Store so users can install it.

1. Add your API token

You only do this once. Copy your token from core.motanamy.com → Settings, then run:

mot token add
mot whoami      # check which token is active

Don't have a developer account yet? Contact us.

2. Check your plugin

• setting.json has the right name, type, version and versionNumber
• The version folder name matches version, for example 1.0.0/
• README-EN.md is present (on EA and SA, README-AR.md is required as well)
• logo.png and the screenshots referenced in the README exist
• The plugin works with mot dev on the target platform

3. Build and publish

mot build      # EA only: packages the plugin as a ZIP
mot publish

mot build currently works for EA plugins only. To combine several EA plugins into one package, use mot merge.

After you publish, the Motanamy team reviews the plugin. If changes are needed, they'll contact you.

README files

Each version folder contains a store listing in English and Arabic:

Each file has a YAML frontmatter block with store metadata, followed by a Markdown body that appears as the plugin's description page.

Image paths use commas

Write images,logo.png for images/logo.png. Slash paths won't work.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Fix
Publish is rejected or unauthorized	Run mot whoami. Make sure a token is active, or add one with mot token add
"Invalid manifest"	Check that setting.json is valid JSON and has all the required fields
"Platform mismatch"	type in setting.json must match the target platform
Images missing on the store page	Use comma paths (images,logo.png) in the README frontmatter
